BookASports is the player side of Turfora: an Android app where people find sports venues near them, book slots, join games hosted by others, or host their own and find teammates. We built it from scratch and maintain it today.

Pick a date and slot
Finding a game is harder than playing one. Players call around for a free slot, group chats go quiet two people short of a team, and venues sit empty on weekday afternoons because nobody knows the slot is open.
A booking app on its own doesn’t fix that. The useful thing is the connection between venues with slots, players with time, and games that need people.
Players book in a minute instead of a phone round. Games that would have been cancelled get filled. Venues that run on Turfora get bookings they would never have taken by phone.
For us it was a two-sided build: a consumer app that has to be simple and fast, on top of the same booking engine that venue staff rely on all day.
We built BookASports from the first line of code and run it today, including the app releases on Google Play.
